2008 Ferrari Memo Reveals New Supercar Development
An apparently top secret internal Ferrari memo has just surfaced and reveals that Ferrari is preparing a new supercar code named the FX150. Testing for the car begins October 3rd and it is expected to come out sometime next year. It features a turbocharged, mid-longitudinally mounted V8. The engine is made from aluminum alloy and is estimated to have 794hp and 772nm of torque. This results in a blistering 0-100km/h time of 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 390km/h (about 240mph). Mated to the engine is a new Formula 1 style 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. The chasis is carbon fiber and the car’s weight should be around 1300kg (about 2800lbs). The projected price is 1,250,000 euros. Better start saving now.
